Professional Statement

My name is Ibrahim, but I go by Abe. I'm a proud south side Chicagoan and Illinois native. I grew up in Chicago, went to undergraduate at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, stayed for graduate school after most of my friends left, and completed medical school in Chicago. I (finally) left Illinois to do my preliminary medicine internship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee (bandwagon Bucks fan), before coming to Baylor to begin my radiology residency. I'm interested in neuroradiology. So I've got lots to learn. I'm still pretty new to Houston, so I'm excited to explore Houston post-COVID, enjoy the warm weather, and play as much golf as possible in the next few years.
