Professional Statement
I have extensive experience conducting large-scale community based epidemiologic studies in the US and in resource-limited countries. Over the past 20 years, I have incrementally developed a clinical research platform from which to study the diagnosis, prevention, and pathophysiology of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection in children. In 2012, I joined 草榴社区入口 and Texas Children鈥檚 Hospital to establish and direct our Global TB Program. Collaborating with new colleagues and building upon the existing infrastructure of the Baylor Pediatric AIDS Initiative, we have created a translational research team and a unique research platform that aims to promote child survival and contribute knowledge to the field of childhood TB and HIV. Our translational research arena also affords an outstanding opportunity to train tomorrow鈥檚 Global Health leaders and develop capacity in the TB high-burden setting that we serve.Websites
