Two–Year Medical Genetics and Genomics Residency

Interviews are conducted September - November and the match date is typically late November or early December for a start date of July 1.

The following documents are required:

  • ERAS CV
  • Three letters of reference (one should be from your current residency program director)
  • Personal statement
  • Official medical school transcript
  • USMLE scores (steps 1 & 2)

Combined Programs

Interviews for both the Internal Medicine/Medical Genetics and Genomics Residency and the Pediatrics/Medical Genetics and Genomics Residency are conducted October - January with the match date typically in mid-March.

The following documents are required:

  • ERAS CV
  • Letters of reference (three minimum recommended; maximum of five; ideally one from genetics and one from pediatrics faculty, but not required)
  • Personal statement
  • Official medical school transcript
  • MSPE
  • USMLE scores (steps 1 & 2)

Applicants interested in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine/Medical Genetics and Genomics Fellowship program must first apply through ERAS for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship and then contact Angela Fielder, the MFM/Genecs Fellowship coordinator. Interviews for this program are conducted in July. Applicants are selected by October.
