About the Scholarship

Content

At 草榴社区入口, we believe that cultivating a workforce reflective of the broad range of backgrounds and experiences in our society strengthens our medical community and helps ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Medical student rotations in our department offer a rich and dynamic experience, exposing students to a wide spectrum of patients that challenge and enhance diagnostic and clinical skills. Our rotation provides an in-depth exposure to both blunt and penetrating traumatic injuries at our Level 1 trauma Center. Students will also gain firsthand experience with complex medical and psychiatric emergencies. Your primary rotation site will be at Ben Taub General Hospital, a publicly funded hospital dedicated to serving a diverse and vibrant patient population. You will also rotate through the Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center Emergency Center, a tertiary care center known for its high acuity and advanced medical services.

To support a broadly representative and engaged future workforce, the Henry J.N. Taub Department of Medicine, in Houston, Texas is proud to offer two $2,000 scholarships for visiting students who demonstrate a strong commitment to health equity, service to underserved communities, leadership and the ability to overcome challenges. All visiting students are encouraged to apply. Scholarships may be used to cover travel, housing, and other expenses related to the month-long rotation. The stipend will be distributed upon successful completion of the rotation. Students are responsible for arranging their own travel and housing.
