
The BodyGuards Volunteer Program, within the Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) program at the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center, offers diverse opportunities to participate in community outreach events as volunteers with ²ÝÁñÉçÇøÈë¿Ú. The BodyGuards Program aligns with the COE program goals of reducing cancer health disparities in underserved populations through cancer awareness, prevention, and early screening.
Current Volunteer Opportunities include:
- Assisting in educational community events such as health fairs, Theater Outreach Program performances, and other special events
- Entering survey data and prepping materials for events
Requirements
- Age 18 and up
- Individuals interested in volunteering in the BodyGuards Volunteer Program must disclose any criminal history; non BCM students or staff are required to clear a background check
- Complete a volunteer application
- Attend required program orientation
- Follow program dress code at community events
