- Dr. Sander is Project Co-Director for this study which involves contributing to a longitudinal database on TBI and collaborating on studies to improve treatment and outcomes for persons with TBI. She leads a module project on health literacy in persons with TBI, which involves five TBI Model Systems centers, including TIRR, and which is focused on characterizing the impact of health literacy on TBI, its predictors, and its relationship to health outcomes.

- This study evaluates a Just-in-Time Adaptive Intervention for caregivers of persons with TBI. The study involves using Fitbit and app technology to assess activity, mood, and quality of life in daily real time to guide delivery of prompts to engage in activities to improve caregivers' mood and quality of life.
