Planning and implementing simulation activities involves several steps to ensure success. The following represents the optimal timeline for new simulation activities. We look forward to partnering with you!
Request an Event

Attend a planning meeting with the simulation core team for new events (or huddle with the operations staff for recurring events) to review details.
- Identify learning objectives.
- Select the appropriate simulation modality.
- Review the learner orientation to procedural skills lab activities.
- Define how the simulation lab will be evaluated.

The Simulation team will provide you with a Faculty Blueprint for Simulation Activities to develop your lab materials, including the following:
- Case Scenario
- Learner Brief
- Learner Debrief
- Learner evaluation Tool

Based on the details in your educational materials, the event operations lead will create a lab summary and email it to you about four weeks before your activity.
The team will acquire equipment, models, and supplies and build the event into the learning management system or the high-fidelity manikin.

The simulation team will set up the activity according to the event summary and work with you to ensure its success. The activity survey will be available to learners via QR Code.

Attend an activity review meeting with simulation staff.
